Learning new things!

"Little Ol' Blue Eyes"

Casey is doing something new and different almost every day now. He just started sitting himself up (a little disconcerting to see the little "sitting up" boy at 1 am), sort of crawling (looks kind of like an infantry soldier creeping along the ground), and he is figuring out how some of his toys work.

"Oh, this is sooo easy!!"

Got the sippy cup figured out too!

Another tooth! (and other stuff)

Casey seems to be adding teeth in textbook order. One top tooth has pushed through, and more appear to be on the way! If you look closely, you can see shadows of other upper teeth about to do their thing. He is grinding them too, which sounds like he's cracking walnuts in his mouth (like fingernails on a chalkboard to us!)

Wish us luck sleeping at night!

"Helping" with the laundry.

bad hair day.

Lily is really very patient with the boy.

The cats are getting more used to the idea that Casey is here to stay, and at least Lily seems fairly unflappable when Casey is around, even with his little noises. Here, I think she is just waiting for him to be done with that string so she can have a turn! Notice Casey bonking himself in the head with his toy in the first second or so of the video, doesn't phase him at all.

House of mirrors.

Casey seems to enjoy looking in the mirror. He certainly recognizes mommy and daddy, but I don't know if he knows who that baby is (although they seem to like each other).

Working on his abs?

"Shall we play patty cake?"

So, where's the camera?

"Ready for my next journey!"

I still love this one, taken back in April.

"That baby is doing everything I do!"

"You can't get away from me that easily!"

More visitors!

We got through Casey's baptism on the 22nd and were very excited to turn around and have more visitors come to meet Casey for the first time. Bryan (Steve's brother), Lori, Harrison (5), and Amelia (3) came from Massachusetts. We went to the park, the farmer's market, the Air and Space Center in Hampton, VA, and played in the little pool in the back yard (I'm sure he'll be a natural swimmer!). We were all very tired, but had a great time! Some of these pictures were taken by Bryan.

And we spent a couple of hours at Larry and Linda Baucom's (cousins) in VA Beach on July 4th and had some amazing barbeque!

So lots of pictures and videos here this time!

Casey loved the swing!

Lori and Amelia sang to Casey!

The next Michael Phelps?

Give me that spoon, I can do this!

Casey's Baptism.

Casey was baptized at Hidenwood Presbyterian Church on June 22, 2008. It was a very nice day, and Casey did pretty well during the proceedings. He let out a few loud screeches (happy ones) and cried when the water hit his head, but otherwise was a perfect little angel. I wore my Father's Day tie (closeup included) and everybody got a kick out of it.

We had a nice visit from Annette's mom, and her brother Mike, his wife Amy, and their boys Michael and Matthew over that weekend.
