Happy clappy yellow bathroom!

The yellow is even more "yellow" than shown in the pictures, but you get the idea. Rugs are navy blue if you can't tell. We used a second shower curtain in the window. I forgot to take a "before" picture, but I will for the downstairs bathroom, which is next!

We saw this idea in a catalog a few years ago where you could purchase photos shaped like letters, but I decided to use my own.
Y is from the Czech Bridge in Prague (I visited in 2007)
O is a window in my library at CNU
R is a tiny piece of coral I found at Nags Head a few years ago
K is a sideways view of part of a rustic table Annette bought years ago and we still have

Hope this video works. I was having trouble viewing it after I downloaded.
Notice the technique of "scanning" the items on the piano bench.

More numbers for your entertainment

And our life with numbers continues. Casey calls out the page numbers in his books, finds numbers on buildings, on the car inspection sticker, and he was even counting and reading along with the ongoing game clock as we were watching the World Cup game. It took me a minute to figure out why he was sitting there saying "41, 42, 43, 44, 45 ..." And of course we still spend much of our time making playdough numbers. He even counts the number of 1's he has (we have to make a lot of 1's so he can line up all the teen numbers.)

And he still likes to watch the clock for the numbers to change, and we've made this work to our advantage, telling Casey that in the morning, a "5" on the left makes him go back to sleep and not to call for Momma or Daddy until it says 6:20. And 8:00pm "makes" him get in the bed at bedtime, and 8:10 "makes daddy leave."

So his math skills will probably surpass mine by the time he's in 7th grade.

He really could do this all day.
