Yeah, this is probably like watching paint dry but I just wanted to report that my first batch of home-brewed beer is underway. I wasn't sure it was going to start fermenting but after 2 days the bubbles started in the airlock, meaning that the yeast has started doing its work eating up the sugar. I should have finished beer in 3 weeks or so. Thanks for the kit Mimi!
